Update on MRI

Hello all,

Eva had her MRI last week. Everything went smoothly, minus the fact that she woke up too early and had a horrible reaction to the anesthesia b/c she was very confused. They warned us that this may happen... She was unconsolable for about 45 minutes but then went back to sleep and woke up much better! The good news is that the report came back great. It seems as though she has a well developed femoral head which has settled into the acetabulum. The only thing that needs to be corrected is the angle of the hip which I guess Paley will do with the Super Hip. I am just happy that the femoral head did develop nicely and it is only slightly smaller than the left side. Hopefully, this will make things a little easier down the road.

For those of you that do need MRI's, it is not as scary as it seems. Although she had the reaction she did, we got through it and everything was back to normal the next day. So, we have gotten through the first step. The surgery is next and I am terrified. I will keep everyone posted. In the meantime, have a safe and happy holiday season!!!
